We spent an idyllic two weeks at the Dar House over Christmas 2013. The staff could not have been friendlier or kinder and nothing was too much trouble. The beach is quite simply spectacular and the house sits on the best part of it. Dar House is every inch the ultimate ‘beach house’. You will not find whiter sand anywhere and the view from the house is quite simply breath taking. My children aged, 13, 11 and 9 had the holiday of a lifetime and will remember their time in Zanzibar forever. The food was delicious and we loved Richard’s local dishes. The Dar House is your ultimate escape from the hustle and bustle of life, a little pocket of paradise totally unspoilt and completely as one with nature. I Couldn't have asked for a better place to spend my 70th Birthday... little did I know that I would leave a bit of my heart and soul on the island of Zanzibar.
So bring your sense of adventure and leave with a sense of wonder. Zanzibar and the Dar house will forever be an amazing memory for me.

An awesome time
Stayed here in early September 2012, with my family, and we were treated like kings, complete with idyllic beach as our kingdom. 'Ahsante sana' to Richard, Hamid and the guys for taking such good care of us. We hope to return!
